PARDUBICE – The Czech national inline hockey team has confirmed that Ales Hemsky will be joining the team for its 2014 Inline World Championship campaign.
Hemsky, who finished his NHL season with the Ottawa Senators and represented the Czech Republic at the 2014 Olympics Winter Games in Sochi, has played at the Inline Worlds on numerous occasions, most recently at the 2012 tournament.
His addition improves an already-strong Czech squad that is playing on home turf in Pardubice, where the team won its first and only Inline gold medal in 2011. Ales' father, Petr Hemsky, is the coach of the inline team. Hemsky will play tonight against the United States.
