LILLEHAMMER – The International Ice Hockey Federation has conducted a thorough review of the result of the Passing Precision skill in the Ice Hockey Men’s Skill Challenge Grand Final.

The athlete, Finland’s Aleks Haatanen, was originally awarded three points in Skill 5: Passing Precision. The judge’s decision to revise Haatenen’s result in Skill 5 from three points to two points was incorrect. The IIHF review resulted in the decision to reinstate the points for Haatenen from two points to three points.

The additional point elevated Haatanen’s final ranking of from position 5 to position 3. The IIHF and the IOC have agreed that Haatanen should be awarded the bronze medal in the Men’s Skill Challenge.
