17 players named for Youth Olympics

COLORADO SPRINGS, USA – USA Hockey announced the 17-player roster that will compete in the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games from 12-21 February in Lillehammer, Norway.

All players were selected to participate in the USA Hockey Select 15 Player Development Camp, which took place 15-21 July in Williamsville, New York.

The U.S. roster includes nine forwards, six defencemen and two goaltenders. The players represent 11 different states, with Michigan leading the way with four representatives, followed by Arizona, Massachusetts and New Jersey with two apiece.

The U.S. Youth Olympic Men’s Ice Hockey Team will begin play on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, against Finland.

Scott Paluch is the head coach of the U.S. Youth Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Team with J.D. Forrest serving as assistant coach. The staff and players of the 2016 U.S. Youth Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Team is subject to the approval of the United States Olympic Committee.
