MANNHEIM – The Czech Republic, Denmark and Italy have added one player each and have their full complement of 20 skaters for the preliminary round.
The Czechs added forward Martin Ruzicka, 24, of Czech club Ocelari Trinec. He may play in his first-ever World Championship game on Tuesday against Norway.
Denmark today added forward Morten Green, 29, of Swedish second-tier club Malmö Redhawks. Green will participate in his 12th World Championship (including four Division I tournaments) after being sidelined due to injury in Denmark’s miracle victory against Finland two days ago.
The Italian national team registered forward Alexander Egger, 30, of Italy’s Bolzano Foxes. It will be his first appearance in IIHF competition since the 2006 World Championship in Latvia.
Teams can register up to 20 skaters and three goalkeepers for the Preliminary Round and add two additional players after the first stage.
Denmark, Finland, Italy, Kazakhstan and Latvia have filled their rosters while all other teams can still add players in the Preliminary Round:
