After the successful premier last year, the World Hockey Forum will be organized in Moscow for a second time. The event will take place on 14th & 15th December 2017 in Moscow at the Radisson Royal Congress Park.

“The World Hockey Forum is an excellent opportunity where people from the global hockey family meet and discuss about a wide range of topics to develop our great sport. I enjoyed visiting and speaking at the forum last year and can highly recommend joining this opportunity for an open dialogue,” said IIHF President René Fasel.

The event is organized by the Ice Hockey Federation of Russia and more than 700 delegates representing several ice hockey nations are expected to participate.

“I am certain that the programme of the World Hockey Forum will facilitate the ongoing development of our game, lay down the foundation for its future change for the better, identify growth opportunities and offer new solutions,” said Vladislav Tretiak, the legendary goalie who serves as President of the Ice Hockey Federation of Russia and IIHF Council member. “I hereby invite all the interested individuals to take part in this fruitful dialogue that will be held, once again, in Moscow in December 2017!”

Among the participants and honoured guests of the Forum will be heads and board members from the IIHF, from various national ice hockey associations, leading ice hockey specialists, coaches, referees, sports industry experts and members of public organizations.

Experts from various countries in Asia, Europe and North America will speak and discuss about key problems to solve for the development of ice hockey, strategies in increasing the popularity of the sport, studies from different universities from east to west, the current development of ice hockey in Asia, marketing and media aspects for ice hockey and at a coaching seminar.

“The business programme of the World Hockey Forum promises to be intense and full of diverse activities, and its professional agenda has never been more substantial,” said Pavel Kolobkov, Russia’s Minister of Sport and former Olympic and world champion in fencing.

“I hope that the second international World Hockey Forum will enable all its participants, organizers and guests to engage in interesting discussions leading to fruitful collaboration as well as to realize all their plans and achieve all their goals.”

The event will take place during the Channel One Cup in Moscow and offer the possibility to attend Russia vs. Sweden and Czech Republic vs. Canada games as part of the evening program.
