Yesterday the players of the 2018 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship Division II Group B in Zagreb enjoyed a day off. One that was used for the education of the young hockey players about doping, the fight against doping and the importance of clean sport under the slogan “Ne!Dopingu” (no to doping).

In cooperation with the Croatian Anti-Doping Agency and the Croatian Ice Hockey Association, all participating teams visited the educational corner in sports at the Dom Sportova ice rink where they took part in a quiz about doping and how harmful it is for athletes and for their health.

This action was organized as part of the upcoming international Play True Day, which is celebrated every year on 10th April all around the world. The Play True Day is a day dedicated to clean sport. The purpose of the Play True Day is to acquaint athletes as well as everyone interested in sports with the global fight against doping and show the support that clean athletes deserve.

Host Croatia, Spain, Serbia, the Netherlands, Iceland and China take part in the tournament where they battle for promotion to the next higher level. Croatia and Spain lead the tournament undefeated and will play each other in the last game on Friday.
