Eight NHL and 21 Superliga players fighting for roster spots

MOSCOW – Team Russia will travel with 25 players from Moscow to Montreal tomorrow to hold a training camp and play two exhibition games against Canada and Switzerland.

Joining the team in North America will be Nashville Predators forward Alexander Radulov and Washington Capitals star Alexander Ovechkin, who had 65 goals and 47 assists in 82 regular season games. His Capitals teammates Alexander Semin and Sergei Fedorov will also join the squad in Montreal.

Vyacheslav Bykov will have29 players in the training camp – eight from the NHL and 21 from the Russian Superliga. Continental Cup winner Ak Bars Kazan has the most players with five on the roster, including its top line of Alexei Morozov, Danis Zaripov and Sergei Zinovyev. Only 20 of the 26 skaters can be registered for the preliminary round.
