PostFinance Arena Berne

The PostFinance Arena Berne, built in 1967, has cult status within the ice hockey community.

 

The stadium is home to the leading Swiss club SC Bern, and stage for some great ice hockey spectacle – both on and off the rink.

 

Prior to the start of the 2009 IIHF World Championship on April 24, 2009, it will be entirely renovated and expanded. The World Championship will thus have at its disposal a new ice hockey arena that meets the highest expectations.

 

Imposing facade

The outer shell of PostFinance Arena Berne will be encased in cubic elements that create a special atmosphere at night when they are lit. PostFinance Arena Berne will boast a new stadium logo that will be visible from various angles.
