Public Transportation

Switzerland has no equal when it comes to public transportation. Its network is both dense and attractive, its train, bus, boat and mountain railway timetables all synchronized to offer seamless and easy connections from one place to the next. Most cities are linked by a half-hourly service. Even the tourist destinations in the Swiss Alps are well served by public transportation, with rapid and often direct service from the airports of Zurich and Geneva. With the exception of a few panoramic routes, seat reservations are not required for individual travel within Switzerland.

Several train connections per hour link the World Championship host cities of Berne and Zurich-Kloten. Travel time between the two cities is around an hour.
