Event Information

The Power Rankings are for the enjoyment of IIHF.com readers, and reflect the progress of teams during the IIHF World Championship. They are distinct from the official standings and IIHF World Ranking.

Power Rankings (as of 4 May)

1.		CANADA This ranking will make Brent Sutter smile
2.		RUSSIA We’re ready to play some solid Bilyaletdinov hockey
3.		SWEDEN From Alfie to Zee, we’ve got what it takes to be number three
4.		FINLAND There’s pressure from fans, media, family, friends, and household pets
5.		CZECH REPUBLIC Don’t forget, this kid Nedved was drafted ahead of Jagr
6.		USA Do you believe in miracles? (It’s OK if you don’t.)
7.		SWITZERLAND All Switzerland is dreaming of a quarter-final berth!
8.		GERMANY All Germany is dreaming of the exact same thing!
