In its inaugural season, the Champions Hockey League will showcase fourteen top-ranked club teams from seven nations, which will compete and play a total of 33 games on a designated night over a 21-week span. Nations that will be represented in tournament play include: Russia, Finland, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Slovakia, Switzerland and Germany.  The season begins September 12th and will be telecast in more than 100 markets worldwide via a primarily free-to-air network.

“The Champions Hockey League is a key platform for European club teams to showcase their finest players,” said Len Rhodes, General Manager of Reebok Hockey.  “We view the Champions Hockey League as a strategic property that will help us achieve our industry leading global growth targets.”

The Champions Hockey League provides Reebok with another global platform to underscore its commitment to hockey, while cultivating its existing relationships with the European ice hockey community. Reebok will work with the Champions Hockey League on long-term brand development, enhanced game presentation and unique and innovative fan experiences that will define the Champions Hockey League as the must-watch, must-experience league for hockey fans in Europe.

“Reebok Hockey has an excellent worldwide reputation with respect to product innovation and quality service,” said Rob van Rijswijk, the IIHF Director of Champions Hockey League operations. “We are excited that all of our players will wear Reebok’s new ’EDGE‘ jersey and have access to their ’The PUMP‘ technology on skates.”

As the Official Outfitter to the Champions Hockey League, Reebok Hockey will receive exclusive rights to showcase its industry-leading products to hockey players and fans alike, from jerseys to equipment. Reebok will be the exclusive supplier of helmets, visors and pants, and all players will wear the Reebok EDGE Uniform System jerseys and socks. Participating players and team staff will also be supplied with Reebok apparel for on and off-ice use.
