Until today Erich Kühnhackl remains to be on of the most popular representatives of our sport. It is absolutly wonderful, that with his immense popularity he will be able to support and promote the 2010 IIHF World Championship as an official ambassador.
Erich Kühnhackl has played 211 international matches for Germany and scored 131 goals. He won the Olympic bronze medal 1976 in Innsbruck. He was the first German scorer-champion at an IIHF World Championship. Furthermore he won four German Championships, was three times player of the year, played 774 German league games, with 724 goals and 707 assists. Erich Kühnhackl is member of the IIHF Hall of Fame and Germanys Player of the Century.
