Paul Romanuk

 

Paul Romanuk is a well-known ice hockey broadcaster, producer and writer who has covered the sport for 25 years. Among other projects, he works extensively as a producer of new media content for IIHF.com.

Since moving to London in 2005, Romanuk has worked for Eurosport, calling the U20 World Championships and, in 2010, the Winter Olympic ice hockey competition.

Romanuk was the international ice hockey play-by-play announcer on TSN from 1990 until 2001. He broadcast 11 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championships, 8 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships, 6 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championships as well as the World Cup of Hockey in 1996.

Romanuk continues to work for TSN on international hockey events – most recently, the 2012 World Championship.

 

Szymon Szemberg

 

Szymon Szemberg is the Communications Director of the IIHF and he will be moderating the Hockey Forum together with broadcaster Paul Romanuk.

Szemberg came to the IIHF in 2001 as Media Relations Manager and assumed the job as Communications Director in 2007.

A journalist by profession, Szemberg worked at the Göteborgs-Posten morning paper 1981-1998, covering mostly ice hockey, football and basketball.

Between 1998 and 2000, he was the Sport Director and later GM of the Swedish league basketball club Kvarnby Evergreens.
