Wladislaw Tretjak

Contrary to his habit “the man with 1000 hands” will not strengthen the defence as an ambassador of the 2010 IIHF World Championship.
Wladislaw Tretjak will offensively take a stand for 2010 IIHF WC, Germany and will use his great international awareness to support the IIHF World Championship to make it a success for all fans.
“The commitment of one of the best players ever makes us proud and Wladislaw Tretjak will help us to promote the WC in Russia”, comments Franz Reindl the joining of the legendary soviet national goalie to the official circle of ambassadors.

During his active career (1968 – 1984) Wladislaw Tretjak was ranked as best goalie worldwide and was part of the soviet national team for 287 games. He won three times Olympic gold, one Olympic silver medal as well as ten gold, one silver and two bronze medals at World Championships. Thus makes Wladislaw Tretjak one of the most successful ice hockey players of all time.
